Bookmark - Polymer Clay - Turquoise Leaves on Copper
Everything in your home should have a purpose—it’s how we surround ourselves with items that are full of purposeful energy. While I’ve been guilty of using whatever scrap of paper I can find for marking my place in a book, having a dedicated bookmark reminds me of this: to give everything a home, to appreciate even the smallest paper scrap’s purpose—and for me, paper definitely serves a different purpose, which is why I now prefer using a bookmark for my books. This is a way we can remind ourselves to be specific with our actions and purposeful with the smallest things.
When polymer clay is baked properly, it will be strong and bend, as opposed to breaking when bent. However, do not try to push this by bending too much, otherwise, you might push the leaves off of the bookmark. Each bookmark has been varnished with water-soluble polyurethane for protection and shine.
These bookmarks are made out of polymer clay, carefully sculpted, with a brass chain and jump rings connecting tiny, detailed, individually made little leaves.
